Didi opposes move to tweak deputation rules of IAS officers

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has written to PM Narendra Modi opposing the proposed amendments to Rule 6 of IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954, which would allow the Centre to post any IAS officer working in the state for central deputation. The proposed amendment asks the states to nominate a pre-decided number of IAS officers for central deputation reserve and allows the Centre to post these officers.
