दुबई: आयपीएलच्या १३व्या हंगामाला सुरूवात होण्यााठी ३६ तासांचा कालावधी शिल्लक राहिला नसताना एक धक्कादायक बातमी समोर आली आहे. ऑस्ट्रेलिया आणि इंग्लंडचे जे खेळाडू आयपीएलमध्ये खेळणार आहेत. त्यांचा क्वारंटाइनचा कालावधी ६ दिवसांच्या ऐवजी फक्त ३६ तासांचा करण्यात आला आहे. हे सर्व खेळाडू इंग्लंडमधून थेट युएईला येणार आहेत. इंग्लंड आणि ऑस्ट्रेलियाचे खेळाडू वनडे मालिका संपवून युएईला दाखल झाले आहेत. या सर्वांच्या क्वांरटाइनचा कालावधी कमी करण्याची विनंती बीसीसीआयने केली होती. यावर युएईच्या संबंधित विभागाने परवानगी दिली आहे. वाचा- आयपीएलच्या एका वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, इंग्लंड आणि ऑस्ट्रेलियाचे सर्व खेळाडू ६ दिवसांच्या ऐवजी आता फक्त ३६ तास क्वारंटाइन असतील. या संदर्भातील जी अडचण होती ती आता दूर झाली आहे. आता जवळपास सर्व खेळाडू संघांना पहिल्या सामन्यापासून उपलब्ध होतील. डेव्हिड वॉर्नर, स्टीव्ह स्मिथ, जोफ्रा आर्चर आणि जोस बटलर आदी खेळाडू गुरुवारी रात्री युएईमध्ये दाखल झाले. त्यांची आरटी-पीसीआर चाचणी देखील घेण्यात आली आहे. वाचा- विमानात बसण्याआधी आणि विमानातून उतरण्याआधी त्यांची चाचणी घेण्यात आली आहे. त्यांनी कठोर नियमांचे पालन केले आहे. एका जैव सुरक्षित वातावरणातून दुसऱ्या जैव सुरक्षित वातावरणात त्यांनी प्रवेश केल्याने त्यांचा क्वारंटाइन कालावधी कमी करावा अशी मागणी बीसीसीआयने केली होती. वाचा- या निर्णयाने आणि आयपीएलमधील संघ आनंदी झाले आहेत. या निर्णयामुळे चेन्नईसाठी जोश हेजलबुड, टॉम कुर्रेन, राजस्थानसाठी स्मिथ, बटलर आणि आर्चर हे पहिल्या सामन्यापासून उपलब्ध असतील. अशाच पद्धतीने पंजाब आणि दिल्ली संघाचे खेळाडू देखील पहिल्या सामन्यापासून उपलब्ध राहतील. वाचा- आठ संघापैकी फक्त कोलकाता नाइट रायडर्स असा संघ आहे ज्यांना सहा दिवसाच्या क्वारंटाइन कालावधीचा काही परिणाम होणार नव्हता. त्यांचा पहिला सामना २३ तारखेला होणार आहे.

मुंबई: बहुप्रतिक्षित () चा १३वा हंगाम उद्यापासून सुरू होत आहे. स्पर्धेतील पहिला सामना () विरुद्ध चेन्नई सुपर किंग्ज यांच्यात होणार आहे. गतविजेते आणि सर्वाधिक फॅन फॉलोअर्स असलेल्या मुंबईच्या संघाच्या कामगिरीकडे सर्वांचे लक्ष असणार आहे. तर धोनीने आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटमधून निवृत्ती घेतल्यानंतर मैदानावर खेळताना दिसणार आहे. त्यामुळे पहिल्या सामन्याकडे सर्वांचे लक्ष असेल. मुंबईच्या संघाकडून यावर्षी एक मोठे सरप्राइझ आहे. या संघाकडून असा एक क्रिकेटपटू खेळणार आहे. ज्याने क्रिकेटमध्ये पदार्पण चित्रपटातून केले आहे. वाचा- क्रिकेटपटूचे पदार्पण एखाद्या संघाकडून खेळून केली जाते आणि मग त्याची ओळख निर्माण होते. पण मुंबई इंडियन्स संघातील या खेळाडूचे क्रिकेटमधील पदार्पण अथवा ओळख निर्माण झाली ती एका बॉलिवडू चित्रटानने. दिग्विजयने सुशांत सिंह रजपूत (Sushant Singh Rajput) च्या २०१३ साली प्रदर्शित झालेल्या 'काय पो छे' () चित्रपटात काम केले होते. या चित्रपटात अलीची भूमिका दिग्विजयने केली होती. चित्रपटात सुशांतने त्याला क्रिकेटचे प्रशिक्षण दिल्याचे दाखवले होते. वाचा- दिग्विजय एक जलद गोलंदाज आहे आणि महाराष्ट्राकडून खेळतो. आयपीएल २०२० च्या लिलावात मुंबई इंडियन्स संघाने २० लाख रुपयांची बोली लावून दिग्विजयला () करारबद्ध केले होते. दिग्विजय देशमुखने २०१९च्या रणजी ट्रॉपी स्पर्धेतून प्रथम श्रेणी क्रिकेटमध्ये पदार्पण केले होते. तर १२ नोव्हेंबर २०१९ मध्ये मुश्ताक अली ट्रॉफीतून टी-२० पदार्पण केले. दिग्विजयने आतापर्यंत ७ टी-२० सामन्यातून १९ धावा आणि ९ विकेट घेतल्या आहेत. तर एका प्रथम श्रेणी सामन्यात ८५ धावा आणि सहा विकेट घेतल्या आहेत. डिसेंबरमध्ये त्याने रणजी सामन्यात पदार्पण केले होते. पहिल्या सामन्यात त्याने ७१ चेंडूत ८३ धावा केल्या होत्या. वाचा- वाचा- दिग्विजयला या गोष्टीचे दु:ख सुशांतच्या निधनावर दिग्विजय म्हणाला, सुशांतच्या निधनाचे फार दु:ख वाटते. ही खंत नेहमी वाटत राहिली की माझी आणि त्यांची भेट झाली नाही. आयपीएलमध्ये मुंबई संघात माझी निवड झाल्यानंतर विचार केला होता की स्पर्धा सुरू झाल्यानंतर मी सुशांत भाईला भेटेन आणि क्रिकेटपटू झाल्याची बातमी सांगेन. 'काय पो छे' चित्रपटाच्या वेळी सुशांत भाईने मला विचारले होते की, तु मोठा झाल्यावर कोण होणार आहेस. यावर मी क्रिकेटपटू होणार असल्याचे उत्तर दिले होते. मी त्यावेळी त्यांना सांगितले होते की, जेव्हा क्रिकेटपटू होईन तेव्हा तुम्हाला नक्की भेटेन. पण मी आता त्यांना कधीच भेटू शकणार नाही. याचे दु:ख नेहमीच राहील.
