Having gone through a period of underachievement, leading to him being dropped from the Test team in Australia in January, KL Rahul has introduced a welcome circumspection in his batting. He now gives himself time to settle down before opening up his repertoire of gorgeous strokes. He is now a less exuberant but more assured hand, something the team won't mind.
