In a month since the lockdown against the coronavirus began, cases have soared in the state and Mumbai, raising questions about how effectively the restrictions were implemented. The state added 6,320 Covid-19 cases and reported 280 deaths, while Mumbai, which had only 41 cases on March 24, saw cases jumping 100-fold to reach 4,205 on Thursday.
