PM Modi on Friday said the news about the first-ever Block Development Council elections held in Jammu and Kashmir will make every Indian proud. PM Modi said that he was "delighted" that the polls were conducted peacefully. Over 200 Independents were elected to the post of chairperson with the BJP winning in 81 of the 310 blocks in the BDC elections.
