Sensex falls over 600 points, Nifty below 11,650

Equity indices opened in red on Monday, in line with broader Asia on strong US jobs data, while the government's move to tax share buybacks and increase minimum public shareholding in listed companies disappointed domestic investors. At 11:35 am, the benchmark BSE sensex was trading 647 points or 1.64 per cent lower at 38,865.52. While, the broader NSE Nifty was 207 points or 1.75 per cent down at 11,604.
