The Karnataka govt is considering a five-year ban on construction of apartments in Bengaluru due to drought-like conditions in the state. Deputy CM G Parameshwara said that the govt will discuss the matter with builders and developers. He said that many apartments have been built without ensuring an adequate supply of drinking water due to which people have to rely on tankers.
