While Gehlot succeeded in fending off pressure from Pilot by keeping with him nine portfolios, the latter was given five ministries, including public works, panchayati raj and rural development. The portfolio tussle was settled more than 48 hours after 23 ministers had taken oath and 10 days after both Gehlot and Pilot were sworn in.
