Heavy rainfall and landslides have caused extensive damage and has blocked a large number of roads in the state. At least eight persons have lost their lives as Satluj, Beas and Yamuna rivers and their tributaries have been in spate in Kinnaur, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur and Sirmaur districts.
