The Supreme Court decided to examine the legal challenge against the Centre's decision to abrogate Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and referred the matter to a five-judge Constitution bench. The court also issued notices to the Centre and J&K administration on a batch of pleas challenging the Presidential order by which Article 370 was abrogated.
