The IMD on Thursday predicted very heavy rain from Sunday in Chennai and parts of Tamil Nadu as a well marked low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal and is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm in the next 48 hours. As of now the north coastal districts are likely to get rain, said IMD Chennai director.
