Dunya Maumoon, former foreign minister and a possible minister in Ibu Solih’s government, said Maldives was looking to “balance” India and China. “India remains a close friend and will continue to be so. But India has to learn to respect a small country like Maldives. We may be tiny, but we don’t care for bullying tactics."
